My Story
I wasn't always a "math person." I struggled early on - memorizing formulas I didn't understand, feeling left behind while everyone else just "got it."
Everything changed when I found teachers who explained the why behind the what. Math isn't about memorizing - it's about understanding patterns. Once you see those patterns, it clicks.
I started tutoring in college and discovered something: explaining things from my own experience of struggle helped others understand in ways traditional teaching hadn't. I wasn't just teaching math - I was teaching how to think about math.
Over the years, I refined this into The 7-Step Teaching Method - a systematic framework that makes any concept concrete, understandable, and memorable.
Today: 500+ students helped, 150+ teachers trained, and one mission - to change how math is taught, one lesson at a time.
My Teaching Philosophy
The principles that guide everything I do
Understanding Over Memorization
I believe every student can understand math when it's taught the right way. Memorizing formulas without understanding is a dead end.
Meeting Students Where They Are
Every student is different. I adapt my approach to each person's learning style, pace, and current level of understanding.
Building Confidence
Math anxiety is real. My goal isn't just to teach math - it's to help students believe they can succeed at it.
